The Fall has always been a season of change for me ~ and this year it’s filled with big changes ~ for me personally and for Salutations.

In September, my oldest child left the nest and began to write a new chapter in his life, beginning school at the University of Denver. It is also time now for another of my “babies” to leave the nest. And I want you, as a valued customer and friend, to hear it from me first. So here goes . . . .

I have made the decision to close the Salutations boutiques as of December 31, 2013.

During the month of December, both stores will be open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm. {In the Charlotte store, we will be closed on Mondays through December 16th and then resume normal hours on Monday through the end of the month.}

Moving On Sale in Charlotte

We are now holding a Moving On Sale in the Charlotte location, where all inventory items are 40-75% off. As you can imagine, this represents an incredible opportunity to pick up lots of great gifts during this holiday shopping season at significant savings ~ but you’ll need to hurry in for best selection.

Why call it a Moving On Sale? Because I truly view the closure of Salutations as the ending of one beautiful chapter and the beginning of another. There is no reason to view this, as we are often so quick to do when a business closes, as some sort of failure or something to be mourned or pitied.

We’re also offering fantastic deals on lots of great furniture items, including some beautiful antiques, in both locations. {I will be posting images and pricing on Salutations’ Facebook page shortly.}

We are taking custom orders through December 10th. Come on by ~ we’d love to see you!

I have absolutely loved owning the Salutations boutiques over the past 12 years. I am incredibly grateful for the many customers who have become friends, for the employees who have become family, and for all of the amazing experiences and life lessons that small business ownership brings.

Seasons change. It is simply time to move on to the next exciting chapter.

Thank you for all of your loyalty, support and friendship over the years. I treasure the memories and wish you the best of everything in all of the new chapters you choose to write.

Wishing you an abundant, joy-filled holiday season with your family and friends.

p.s.  In case you’re wondering, I’ve already begun writing my next chapter. In 2012, I launched a company called Boutique Profits, where I work with small business owners to create the marketing, systems and mindsets so critical to success in business. Boutique Profits has been very rewarding in so many ways and I look forward to focusing more of my energy on expanding that business.
