Wedding Wednesday ~ Real Brides of the Triangle: Kate’s Dramatic Calligraphy Invitations
The story of Kate and Hunter’s engraved calligraphy invitations is a true testament to the importance and benefits of ordering wedding stationery from a fine stationery boutique like Salutations.
Kate and Hunter, who married in November at Fearrington Village, saw several options in invitations at their first bridal appointment. It wasn’t until they held one of our amazing samples in their hands that they knew exactly what they wanted: a heavy-weight, gilt-edge engraved suite by William Arthur, featuring all custom calligraphy.
The weight of the paper, the dramatic engraving bruises on the back, and the rich gilt edges stole their hearts. For their invitation suite, the couple worked with calligrapher Laura Luyendyk in Raleigh {a Salutations favorite} to further the rich, custom theme of their invitations.
The result was breathtaking. And the couple kept saying that this was an invitation that guests would receive, feel the weightiness, see the dramatic luxury, and say “We have to go to this wedding.”
