Wedding Wednesday ~ Real Brides of the Triangle: Two Special Mother-Daughter Teams

Salutations Real Brides Mother of the Brides Edie's Mom

Welcome to another Wedding Wednesday Real Brides post! We thought it would be fun to highlight not one but two real brides this week. And, in another twist, we’re also featuring our Real Brides’ moms, who played a huge supporting role in their invitations and their big days!

First up is real bride Edie {above, right}, and her wonderful mom, Allison {above, left}. Allison knew exactly what she wanted for her daughter’s wedding invitation. And since her daughter  {a busy nurse} worked long hours, Allison met with the Salutations team multiple times to make sure that her and Edie’s vision was fully realized. They wanted a simple, traditional letterpress invitation with a monogram and matching envelope liner.

Salutations William Arthur Letterpress Wedding Invitation

Edie and Allison chose a William Arthur invitation featuring the monogram of Edie’s father {the host of the event}. A metallic liner was used to tie the envelope into the design of the suite. The overall feel of the invitation was classic, elegant and subtle. It was stylish without being loud, and simple without being boring ~ a perfect combination brought to life thanks to Edie and Allison’s beautiful collaboration!

We love how Edie’s invitation reflected her classic, elegant style, which can be seen in the beautiful portraits by Jessica Arden Photography! Working with both Edie and Allison was so much fun!

Next up is real bride Betsy, and her charming mom, Melissa {above, center}. Like Allison, Melissa had a clear vision for her daughter’s wedding invitation. Melissa envisioned a simple, yet sophisticated letterpress invitation in all calligraphy. Melissa initially fell in love with Smock and brought Betsy {who resided out of town} in to choose all of the invitation details with the Salutations team.

Betsy and Melissa chose a gorgeous calligraphy font by Smock in charcoal letterpress ink printed on ivory bamboo paper. The script and color created a traditional foundation for the suite, while the stunning calligraphy font added chicness and flair. The partnership between Betsy and Melissa resulted in wedding invitations that were both traditional and fresh, simple and stunning, and completely sophisticated.

We are so happy that this invitation captured Betsy’s classic, sophisticated style ~ just like Sarah Whitmeyer Photography did, as can be seen in these gorgeous portraits from her wedding day! We thoroughly enjoyed working with both Betsy and Melissa!
